Eddie Vedder will join Pete Townshend, Billy Idol and other artists at the Rosemont Theatre in Chicago on September 13 to perform material from The Who’s famed 1973 rock opera Quadrophenia. The singer will also will be among the artists, comedians and actors on hand to pay tribute to David Letterman when the former Late Show host receives the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor on October 22. The event will be broadcast by CBS on November 20th.
On August 27, Vedder – introduced as Edward Louis Severson, his birth name – appeared as the weekly musical guest on the 16th episode of the Twin Peaks revival, where he performed Out of Sand, written especially for the show. The song is also featured in the original soundtrack Twin Peaks – Music from the Limited Event Series, available as 2-LP and CD.
