Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins died Friday in Bogotá, Colombia while the rock band was on tour in South America. He was 50.
“I love Taylor Hawkins. He brought so much joy and happiness to my life,” wrote Matt Cameron on his Instagram. “I can’t believe he’s gone. I miss him already damn. My deepest love and condolences to the entire Foo Fighters organization and to the beautiful Hawkins family.”
“I’m sad and shocked about my friend Taylor’s death. I had the opportunity to play music with him, as a singer and drummer, in which he was both amazing! His energy lit up the stage” wrote Mike McCready on his Twitter. “But I really will miss the phone calls about love of music and life. Taylor didn’t text much but loved to talk. He was one of the good ones. Miss & love you my friend and thinking about your family through this hard time.”
