As part of the RSD Black Friday 2017 on November 24, Poncier – a collection of five songs originally written and recorded by Chris Cornell for the movie Singles – will be released by A&M as a limited 12″ vinyl edition (4.000 copies) and on cassette (1.500 copies), with custom art designed by Jeff Ament.
During the filming of the movie, Chris Cornell took a film prop cassette from the movie set that was Cliff Poncier’s demo and seen in the film, wrote and recorded songs to the fake song titles written on the prop cassette “Seasons,” “Nowhere But You,” “Spoon Man,” “Flutter Girl” and “Missing”.
Seasons, the opening song, was just the first of a batch of songs the Soundgarden singer wrote and which were recently featured on the deluxe edition of the movie soundtrack.
