Climate Pledge Arena will be the most progressive, responsible, and sustainable arena in the world, located in Seattle. In partnership with Amazon, the Arena will serve as a long-lasting reminder of the urgent need for climate action.
During an interview with Seattle Times, Tim Leiweke, an American sports executive who is the chief executive officer of the Oak View Group, dangled the possibility of an extended residency of Pearl Jam in the Climate Pledge Arena. The former PJ manager Kelly Curtis took part in an advisory board that made recommendations on the arena’s sound and concert experience.
No deal is done, though unsurprisingly, Leiweke’s willing to toss ’em the keys anytime the ticket-selling juggernauts would like. “I’ve always made it very clear to the band, this is their city and this is their building and they can do with it as they see fit” he says.
